BMW just introduced the long-anticipated BMW M2 on Periscope TV. The idea was great, though audio was, well, inaudible. But the car appears to be a screamer. The driver indicated it took an M3 to keep up with the latest M Coupé.

The reveal was predictable with a garage door slowly allowing the viewer to get a glimpse at the car.

The idea of going straight to the track was great. There were no long tutorials on the M2’s features, just immediate speed and even tire smoking.

Now let the “spiritual successor to the M30” accolades begin to be followed by a bevy of “it’s to heavy, too fast, too slow ......” critiques.

If it's any consolation, M4s are a little easier to come by.
